If your painting project will require a finish coat such as a clear acrylic or lacquer, it is likely that you will be able to use your paint spraying equipment for this as well. These types of finishes are usually thicker in consistency as compared to your paint. Ensure that your spray gun is rated to apply these types of materials. You can always consult your owner's manual if you are at all unsure. The owner's manual will generally tell you exactly what your sprayer is capable of. IF you do not see it in the owner's manual, chances are you cannot use that sprayer for that purpose.

Spraying equipment is a very convenient tool to have. They can save you time and money when taking on a variety of painting projects. If you do not plan on doing a lot of painting projects and do not find it economical to purchase your spraying equipment, you can always rent the equipment. Renting the paint spraying equipment is a great alternative to purchasing it and you can rent it for as long as you need it. You can find equipment rental stores by consulting your local yellow pages or by a simple Internet search of stores in your area.
